Funding Our Projects
Since 1961 the Kiwanis club of Ingersoll has hosted a
Rural-Urban Dinner. The proceeds from this dinner provide the funds for most of our projects.
Recently the Club has sponsored a
Shopping Spree. Community projects have been funded from the proceeds.
Our Club Conducts A Charity Auction In March.
Our Annual
Hot Dog Day raises funds for the School Breakfast Program.
Our golf tournament at Ingersoll Golf Club "Chip in Fore Kids" raises money for Thames Valley Childrens Center and other projects.
Our "Team Trivia Challenger" raises money for children.
Kiwanis Service
Easter Seals' Society
- raise funds for Easter Seals' Society, since 1947, provide equipment, camping fees for Woodeden Camp, financially assist physically challenged children
Alexandra Hospital
- contribute funds to the C.A.R.E.S. program
4H Calf Club
- sponsored local 4H calf club since 1939
Victoria Park Community Centre
- purchased equipment to assist physically challeneged patrons
Minor Soccer
- sponsored House League team in Ingersoll Minor soccer League
IDCI
- 3 scholarships for graduating students, installed a lift for the physically challeneged. Provided two computerised dolls for child care training
Citizenship Award
- present Citizenship Awards at IDCI, VMS, Sacred Heart and Harris Heights
Minor Baseball, Softball
- assisted with construction of Currie Field, provided funds for Salford field
Parent Drop-In Centre
- funds for parent/tot program at St. Paul's
Special Abilities Riding Institue (SARI)
- purchased two horses for SARI riders plus annual support and $10,000 for new barn
Thames Valley Children's Centre
- contributed to Gait Lab, Audio Lab - contributed over $130,000 since 1990
Charitable Donations
- contribute to Salvation Army, Big Brothers/Sisters, Coats for Kids, Crime Stoppers, Heart & Stroke Foundation, Assits with Heart & Stroke Canvas, Operation Sharing, Cancer Society, Lunch Bunch Reboth Home, Inter Church Releif Camp Hope
Children's Miracle Network
- contribute to the annual telethon
Library
- funding for handicapped carrels
- Fusion Centre assisted them with grants
Ingersoll Creative Arts Centre
- provided funding for the "Young @ Art Program" since 2001
Kiwanis School Breakfast Program
- at VMS and Fusion Centre serving over 60 students every morning & lunch since 1996

- Provide pedorthics, orthodontics, motorized scooters, Para Transit for local children, adults
- Helped raise funds for three dogs for autistic children
- Installed wheel chair ramps and lifts
- Habitat for Humanity
